James Tarangelo
For the past twelve years, James Tarangelo has been working as the Managing Director of JLJ Partners, assisting companies in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and the evaluation, commercial development and licensing of new technology.
Prior to his work with JLJ Partners, Jim worked with Sorgenti Investment Partners who assisted private equity companies in identifying, evaluating, and conducting due diligence on acquisition targets.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Tarangelo worked for ARCO Chemical (now Lyondell) for 25 years in a variety of assignments in general management, acquisitions, commercialization of new technology and directed all licensing activities. He helped establish and run joint ventures in Europe, Japan and the United States.
Mr. Tarangelo is a member of the following Boards at Rowan University: Foundation, South Jersey Tech Park and the Innovation Venture Fund.
Currently, Jim also serves on the Advisory Board of EcoCatalytic Technologies and is a member of the Chemical Heritage Council and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
He holds an MBA from Bernard Baruch College, a Master of Science Degree from Polytechnic Institute of New York and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from City College of New York.
