David Burgin
David Burgin is the manager for Emergency Preparedness, Offsite and Response Programs at Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) Nuclear LLC. Mr. Burgin has built a 30-year career in the emergency preparedness and public affairs sectors. His current position includes responsibility for emergency preparedness for PSEG’s Salem and Hope Creek nuclear generating stations.
Mr. Burgin holds multiple leadership positions with PSEG. He also serves on several advisory boards for professionals in the nuclear energy and emergency preparedness field including the industry representative to the New Jersey State Police Office of Emergency Management, Delaware Emergency Management Agency, Nuclear Energy Institute, and Institute of Nuclear Power Operations.
A committed leader, Mr. Burgin has served on the board of directors of a number of organizations, including the American Red Cross, Stand Up for Salem Main Street, the Southern New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, Salem County Chamber of Commerce, and the Clearview Regional School District.
A graduate of the Southern New Jersey Leadership Institute at Rutgers University, Mr. Burgin earned three degrees from Rowan University—undergraduate degrees in communication/journalism and education in 1982 and a master’s degree in public relations in 2002.
