The purpose of assessment at Rowan University is to enhance the educational experiences and outcomes of our students. Through the process of assessment, the University works to improve the administrative and operational activities that support student success as well as Rowan's other institutional goals and strategic pillars. The Office of Assessment helps academic units and other functional areas make informed decisions based on reliable evidence. The ultimate goal of assessment is to foster ongoing improvement of every aspect of Rowan University, in support of our mission.

Academic Assessment

Academic assessment is the process of identifying a program's strengths and weaknesses and then developing and implementing plans to mitigate those weaknesses.

Rowan Core

Rowan Core is the University's general education program. Students at Rowan University develop competencies that lead to engaging careers and fulfilling lives.


TracDat, which recently had its name changed to Improve, is Rowan University's assessment management system.
