Live Workshop Series: Enhancing and Supporting Teaching
Practical Strategies. Collegial Community. Purposeful Growth.
Enhancing and Supporting Teaching is a professional development workshop series designed to offer timely teaching strategies, peer connection, and reflective growth. Faculty can participate in individual sessions or complete an entire themed series to earn a professional development certificate.
What to Expect
Each semester features two themed, four-part series. Workshops combine short expert videos with live, interactive discussions, creating space for faculty to explore and share strategies that support student learning and promote sustainable teaching practices.
Workshop Format
Each workshop is offered live on Zoom and repeated three times — choose the session that works best for your schedule. Upcoming Workshops
Before the session, participants receive a 20-minute video from The Teaching Professor Learning Platform to review. The live, one-hour workshop includes:
- Facilitated discussion with Rowan colleagues
- Sharing of ideas, teaching strategies, and classroom experiences
- Practical takeaways connected to the week’s theme
Because the workshops prioritize real-time dialogue, sessions are not recorded. Advance registration is required to receive Zoom links and workshop materials.
Earn a Certificate
Faculty who participate in all four workshops within a single series will receive a professional development certificate from the Faculty Center. Attendance is tracked and certificates are sent out after the final session.
Flexible Participation Options
- You’re welcome to attend one, some, or all workshops — every session is open to all faculty who register.
- To earn a certificate, you must participate in all four workshops within a single themed series.
- Missed a live session? You can complete an alternative assignment to receive credit and stay on track.
- Prefer more flexibility? Explore the Self-Paced Professional Development Certificate Program to design your own learning path.
