Faculty Center Grants and Awards

Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award - Nominate by 12/10; Apply by 1/31
The purpose of the award is to honor one permanent faculty member with an outstanding record of teaching and a sustained record of commitment to student learning.
President’s Award for Excellence in Innovative Instructional Delivery - Nominate by 12/1; Apply by 1/25
This award is designed to recognize faculty who have gone above and beyond to adapt to an ever-changing classroom environment, or who have provided outstanding contributions to online learning via coursework, programs, or certificates.
Frances S. Johnson Junior Faculty Innovative Teaching Award - Apply by 1/31
This award recognizes junior faculty who challenge their students in unique, important and interesting ways.
Frances R. Lax Fund for Faculty Development - Apply by 10/31

This fund provides stipends to probationary, full-time, tenure-track faculty who are in their second year of service to Rowan University on the Glassboro campus. Tenured faculty are ineligible.

Innovations in Teaching Using Technology Grant - Apply by 6/30
This grant is principally targeted to initiatives that are innovative, scalable, adaptable, and applicable to teaching with technology.

Rowan University Textbook Alternative Program (TAP)

Faculty and staff members can apply for funds to help develop or adopt open-access/reduced cost course materials. To reduce the cost of course materials for students, TAP helps faculty and staff design, create, or adopt materials that are substantially less expensive or free for students. 

Since 2018, Rowan University’s Affordability Task Force has issued $2,000 grants to faculty members seeking to redesign their teaching materials using library, free, and open resources that would lower the cost of course materials for Rowan students. This opportunity is generously supported through the Provost's Office.
