New Faculty

Each year the Faculty Center holds a New Faculty Orientation for all new fulltime faculty and librarians. This year we are excited to be hosting a fully redesigned New Faculty Orientation (NFO). We have redesigned the NFO to:

• Make the events (e.g., introductions to campus resources and units, information sessions, and professional development) more accessible to faculty from across the globe as they make their relocation plans.
• Provide essential information and professional development opportunities before new faculty arrive on Rowan campuses.
• Provide a yearlong program of just-in-time events that will bring new faculty together with units from across campus to network, dialogue, share resources, and problem solve.
• Encourage collegiality and collaboration among cohorts of new faculty throughout the year.

Academic Year 2025-26

Throughout the Fall and Spring semesters, the Faculty Center is partnering with colleagues from across the Rowan Community to host a series of events designed to support new faculty. These gatherings offer opportunities for just-in-time professional development and meaningful networking. Most events will take place on Friday mornings in James Hall on the Glassboro Campus.
