The Middle States Self-Study is a vital opportunity for Rowan University to reflect, evaluate, and demonstrate our commitment to excellence. This collaborative process helps us assess progress toward our goals and ensure alignment with accreditation standards. The timeline below outlines key milestones that will guide our collective efforts and keep the University community informed and engaged throughout the journey.

2024
- October: University Key Institutional Representatives attend MSCHE Self-Study Institute
- MSCHE Core Committee established, Co-Chairs Convene
2025
- July: President appoints University Accreditation Liaison Officer
- August 1: Submit draft Self-Study design to MSCHE Liaison
- Fall: Inaugural Steering Committee Convening
- Fall: Inaugural Working Group Co-Leaders Convening; Detailed Working Group Charge
- Fall: Convening of the Working Groups; Gather Evidence
- November 17: MSCHE liaison SSPV visit Rowan University
- Revised Self-Study Design Due December 15, 2025


2026
- January-December: Self-Study Preparation
- September: Prepare and upload the Self-Study Draft Report
- Fall: Team Chair Assignment
- December 1: Prepare and upload the final report
2027
- March: Review of the Draft Self-Study Report
- May: Team chair preliminary visit
- June: Draft Self-Study Report shared with University community for feedback
- July: Rowan Board of Trustees approves the Self-Study Report
- August: Review the Final Self-Study
- October: MSCHE Evaluation Team Visit


2028
- January: Final MSCHE Vote on reaccreditation
