Mental Health First Aid

Healthy Campus Initiatives is offering a full-day training in Adult Mental Health First Aid.

Learn ways to intervene in a mental health emergency - how to assess if someone is in danger of suicide or self harm, listen non-judgmentally, give re-assurance and information, and encourage appropriate professional and self-help.

Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance use issues.

To cover the cost of materials, participants who are Rowan employees (including RCSJ, SOM, and CMSRU) will be required to submit a DCA to Healthy Campus Initiatives for $43. Email Allie Pearce for information on submitting a DCA.

Rowan students will not have a charge.

This course required pre-course work to be completed prior to the in-person meeting. The pre-course work takes approximately 2 hours to complete online.
