Thank you for seeking out information regarding the liaison program within the Wellness Center. Moving forward, we will no longer have department specific liaisons from the Wellness Center. Rather, there are now designated resources that we are outlining below for all members of the Rowan community to use depending on how they wish to support student well-being.

  • The Cares Team. The Cares Team was established to follow up with students who are identified by faculty in staff as in need of academic or a number of other support See here this brief description about the Cares Team that you can share with others: 

 Cares Team reporting is designed to encourage early identification of individuals who may be experiencing difficulty socially, with academics, coping with their environment or dealing with a life circumstance.  The Cares Team meets weekly to discuss submitted reports and determine the appropriate outreach plan for moving forward. Reports submitted to the Cares Team are reviewed during normal business hours (M-F, 8am-4:30pm) and are not monitored after hours, on weekends, or during official University holidays.  Log onto the website to submit a report: https://sites.rowan.edu/deanofstudents/forms/cares.html 


  • Crisis Services at the Wellness Center. For immediate, risk-related inquiries or concerns we are asking that faculty and staff utilize our crisis counselors during normal business hours by calling the Wellness Center, or by using the after-hours on-call hotline that can be accessed through public safety (856-256-4911) or the Wellness Center (856-256-4333, press option 3). These continue to be the best ways to get immediate attention for urgent concerns.  


  • Wellness Center Website. We are aware that sometimes there are just general questions about Wellness Center services or procedures that people are interested in knowing. We will maintain a FAQ section on our website which will include some of those common questions with updates about our policies and procedures to meet that need.


  • Outreach Coordinator, Lindsay Johnson. If you are looking to discuss outreach programming or coordination of other trainings or information for your department, you can reach out to our outreach coordinator, Lindsay Johnson at johnsonln@rowan.edu.
