Cascade CMS is the tool we use to built and maintain most of the Rowan University web sites the general public will see. This extensive documentation should help you get started. However, the more you use Cascade the more you will discover new ways of getting your work done.
As always, if you can't find what you need in the pages here, submit a support ticket using the form to the Rowan University Support Center.
Before you start editing!
So now you want to edit an existing web page?
You need to understand:
- How to find the page you want to edit.
- Understand drafts and publishing in Cascade (who can see your page and when)
- Where to find your work in the editing and publication process.
- How pages and content work inside of Cascade pages.
- What editing looks like:
- All about images
- How to fit the right sized images in different content sections.
- How to edit inside the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor.
- How to upload images and documents to use with your pages.
If you want to add new pages to your site
Before you create new pages, be familiar with the information on editing a current page (in the section above). That will help you understand how Cascade works with your web pages. THEN, you need to understand:
- How new pages affect your site structure
- How to create a new web page.
- How to add a pdf or other file (Power Point, Word) to your site
