We are excited to celebrate the achievements of our graduates!
This page provides details about graduation, as well as the Commencement Ceremonies held each May at the Glassboro campus.
Graduation and Commencement Information
Graduation
- The successful completion of all major/minor/concentration requirements AND the awarding of a degree. Students can apply to graduate during their final semester of classes and diplomas are issued four times per year.
- Students must complete the online Graduation Application in order to be reviewed. Students apply online through Self Service Banner, under the Student Menu, by clicking on the "Apply to Graduate" link. If there are any issues while filling out the application, please e-mail graduation@rowan.edu
- Graduation application deadlines and instructions are available on the Office of the Registrar's website
- Your academic advisor will send a reminder when the Graduation Application is open. Please remember to regularly check your Rowan email so you do not miss this important deadline.
- Please note - an application to graduate is not the same as confirming participation in Commencement. Please review the Commencement information below if you would like to participate in the May ceremony.
Commencement
- The voluntary celebration that occurs once a year (in May). Participation in the Commencement ceremony is not required and does not guarantee the awarding of a degree.
- At the Commencement ceremony, family, friends and the Rowan community celebrate each graduate's academic achievements.
