First LEGO League Summer Robotics Camp

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Summer Robotics Camp

FLL Summer Robotics Camp is a five-day, non-residential robotics program at Rowan University's Glassboro campus. The program integrate science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education while learning to design, build, and program robots using LEGO technology.

FLL Jr. Camp - SOLD OUT
It's never too early to discover STEM!  Our FLL Jr. camp, designed for students ages 7-10, is open to all skill levels. Immersion in FIRST Programs, even at an early age, positively impact students throughout their education even into careers.  FLL Jr. students will learn basic robot building and programming using LEGO WeDo 2.0 in a fun and creative atmosphere.

FLL Beginner and Advanced Camps
Learn to solve every day real world problems through exploration, team work and the use of multiple types of technology! Open to students ages 10-14, the FLL Beginner and Advanced camps learn robotics using the advanced and powerful LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3. Combining the versatility of the LEGO building system and intuitive drag-and-drop programming software, this adventure encourages teamwork, friendship, and creativity from day one. Students work as a team to complete challenges and games created specifically for EV3, today’s go-to robotics system for educators and hobbyists.  This robot features improved digital sensors, a seven-state color-light sensor, new gyro sensors, touch sensors and an improved ultrasonic sensor.  Students will leave with an understanding of the Engineering Design Process and the skills needed to build and program competitive robots. No prior programming experience required for Beginner Sessions.  The Advanced Session is designed for students experienced with LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3.

Friday Open House
FLL Jr. and FLL camp sessions will conclude with a Friday Open House for parents at 1:00 PM. We open up our classroom so students can show off the projects they have been working on all week. Meet your child’s instructor and explore more opportunities for them to continue learning and creating. The Open House is typically finished by 3:00 PM.

College Campus Experience
While here, students will have the unique opportunity to experience the college campus environment with lunch at the Rowan University Market Place dining hall, activities at our Recreation Center, and a visit to the Edelman Planetarium.
