Queering Futurity: Putting Intersectionality into Praxis

We often hear a call for intersectionality in queer communities and social justice, but what does that mean, and what does it require from us? Is intersectionality an intention, a practice, or a laundry list of identities, like race, class, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ability, etc.? While we strive for intersectionality in our social movements, we often come up short on reaching inclusivity. Join us for this thought provoking talk by Dr. Kathryn Hobson of James Madison University that aims to will address how we put intersectionality into praxis and move toward a queer future of liberation for all.
