Black Educators Speak

In response to the 2017 Black History Month theme, The Crisis in Black Education,  the Multicultural Center at Rowan University interviewed key stakeholders in the academy in southern New Jersey to gain their insights into the issues that create educational disparities for students of color. Educators were asked several questions prompting them to share their professional and personal perspectives for how the “crisis” is effecting the current student population and remedies to reduce the achievement gap across race.

Our team asked Black educators what they thought and felt about the 2017 Black History Month theme, The Crisis in Black Education.
