School Programs

The school program at Edelman Planetarium
  • Encourages students to feel the excitement of scientific knowledge and discovery.
  • Empowers them to understand and get involved in scientific fields.
  • Shows them that the universe is more than what they can see on TV or in front of their houses.
  • Teaches them facts about astronomy.

School shows include two sections: a live presentation of the current night sky, and a full-dome educational movie about some aspect of the universe. The two sections together last one hour.

Thanks to a generous ongoing donation by Jean and Ric Edelman, admission fees will not be charged for anyone attending with a school or youth group. However, there is a strict cap of 102 attendees per show.

Parking on campus is limited. While we send a parking map (along with other information) when you make your reservation, we’ve included instructions below for your reference.
