Planetarium Field Trips
School field trips to the Edelman Planetarium include two sections: a live presentation of the current night sky and a full-dome educational movie about some aspect of the universe. The two sections together last one hour. Please view our list of available shows here. There is a strict cap of 102 attendees per show.
Thanks to a generous ongoing donation by Ric and Jean Edelman, schools and youth organizations can attend a field trip for free.

Virtual Field Trips
Explore space from your classroom or home. The planetarium offers virtual planetarium shows for groups of 15 or more!
Schools and youth organizations can book a free virtual planetarium field trip to experience the wonder of the night sky from the classroom. Using our state-of-the-art planetarium software and your preferred video conference software (Zoom, WebEx, Teams, or Google Meet), we will explore the simulated night sky to view planets, constellations, and more! Each presentation will last approximately one hour and will include time for questions.
