First-Year Connection

First Year Connection gives you a jump start on learning new skills and establishing long-lasting friendships! This is an optional extended orientation program for new students to move in early in order to meet other new students and explore campus resources. First Year Connection is open to both residential and commuter students!

Cost: $75

Dates: Monday, August 28 - Thursday, August 31, 2023

Students who are living on campus will be able to move-in to their residence hall on Monday, August 28th.
First Year Connection starts in the evening on Monday, August 28th, and the program runs through Thursday, August 31st.
First Year Connection students will attend Welcome Week programming starting Thursday, August 31st!

Who is registration open to?

First Year Connection is open to all first time first-year students! Both residential and commuter students are welcome to register for the program.

What will students do for meals?

Meals are included starting with dinner on Monday, August 28th.

What does the schedule look like?

First Year Connection includes teambuilders, activities, and workshops to help students connect with each other and to learn about important campus resources. Students should expect to be in the program from 4:30pm - 7pm on Monday, August 28th; from 9am - 4pm on Tuesday, August 29th and Wednesday, August 30th; and from 9am - 1pm on Thusday, August 31st. There are late night evening activities for students each night from 7-9pm.
