Provider Programs are third-party companies/organizations (providers) that Rowan partner with to offer hundreds of programs to our students. These organizations have been vetted and approved by Rowan University according to their academic, health and safety standards. Provider programs are highly recommended and have maintained reliable services in partnership with Rowan University's International Center for over a decade. Most Provider Programs offer a discount of at least $200 per student depending on the provider and the duration of the program. For Provider Programs, Rowan students are not charged Rowan tuition/fees for the term abroad. Students will pay the program provider for the cost of the program. Students are able to use financial aid, loans and scholarships on these programs. Provider Programs offer a variety of terms to study abroad: January Term, Spring, Summer, Fall and Academic Year and student can earn up to 17 credits per semester.
Provider programs offer a lot of support both stateside throughout the application process and also abroad during the program. Most of these programs include tuition, housing, some meals, excursions, cultural activities, on-site support and you receive a foreign transcript from your host institution. Please visit their sites to learn more about the programs they offer.

Rowan recently signed agreements with 10 universities abroad to offer exchange programs to our students. These universities have been carefully chosen based on academics, location and affordability. For our Exchange Programs, Rowan students pay tuition to Rowan University, not to the host university. Housing costs and meals are paid to the host university. Students can use financial aid, loans and scholarships on these programs. Exchange programs offer summer and semester options and students can earn up to 17 credits per semester.
Students must complete a Rowan Study Abroad Application in order to be nominated by the Education Abroad office as an exchange student to the host university. Once nominated, the student will work on the application for admission to the host university to complete the process. These programs offer on-site support and students will receive a foreign transcript upon completion of the program.

Faculty-Led programs are short term programs that generally run between 1-3 weeks in duration. THese programs can be credit bearing or non-credit bearing. A large majority of Rowan Faculty-Led programs utilize the provider programs to faciliate housing arrangements, cultural activities, transportation within the host country, classroom space etc. With these programs, the students typically travel in a group along with the leading professor and visit locations, cultural hotspots and museums that allow the course to come alive. Programs vary from year to year. To see the programs that are running in the upcoming year here CLICK HERE!
