Effective July 1, 2010, the promotional test announcement application fee has been increased to $25.00.
Special Note for Veterans: In accordance with Public Law 2010 c.26, if you have established Veterans Preference with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (as defined by N.J.S.A. 11A:5-1 et seq.), or are claiming Veterans Preference and are approved as of the issue date of this eligible list, a $15 application fee is required.

Reclassification Information
Reclassification Electronic Form
Reclassification requests for the Glassboro main campus and CMSRU are submitted and administered via the Reclassification Request - Main Campus/CMSRU electronic form in Self-Service Banner. Information regarding the electronic submission process can be found here. Any paper submissions received will be returned to the employee for electronic submission.
When submitting a reclassification request, employees will provide descriptions of job duties, cite percentage of time spent and difficulty level on each duty, and explain how the duties at issue are more appropriate to the requested title than to the title in which the employees are currently serving. Immediate supervisors will be required to indicate agreement or disagreement with employees' submitted responses as part of the electronic approval process. Additionally, supervisors will have the ability to return requests to employees to request additional information and will be able to electronically approve or deny requests.
Additional documentation like organizational charts, narratives explaining job responsibility changes, and copies of employees’ most recent performance evaluations will be required via documentation upload capabilities on the electronic form. Higher level managers will review requests and indicate acknowledgement. Division directors will have the ability to approve or deny requests upon completion of classification reviews.
Upon submission, employees will be contacted for a review of their position and/or additional information if deemed necessary by the Office of Human Resources. As applicable, an internal impact analysis will be conducted and similar positions will be reviewed to insure internal consistency in the classification process.
Employees will be notified with final determination via email. Employees not satisfied with the determination have appeal rights or may challenge the decision in accordance with their negotiated agreements. Procedures for such will be outline in the determination letter employees will receive via email.
Moving forward, the DPF-44S will only be used to appeal Rowan University classification determinations regarding classified/career service Civil Service titles to the NJ Civil Service Commission, to request reclassifications for a currently vacant positions, or to initiate requests when supervisors or managers choose to submit reclassification paperwork on an employee’s behalf.

Summer Contract Forms
Background Check Information
All candidates for employment are required to successfully complete a background check process prior to starting employment. There are no exceptions.
Rowan University no longer uses fingerprinting for pre-employment screening. The entire background check process is now done entirely online through our vendor TrueScreen. Therefore, new hires will no longer have to travel anywhere to complete the background check.
New hires who are processed through PageUp will not have to take any action to obtain a link to complete the background check. The assigned HR representative to the specific search will ensure that a link is emailed to the new hire to complete as part of the onboarding process.
For all other new hires, the hiring department must contact their assigned Staffing Specialist or the appropriate HR office to have a background link emailed to the new hire. New hires may also call the appropriate HR office directly. Once the individual’s new hire status is confirmed, the new hire will be sent a link to complete his/her background check.
