Check Out Extension

For residents who are NOT returning to their Fall housing assignment in the Spring for any reason, in buildings without keys to return (example - Holly Pointe Commons), there is an on-line checkout process that students MUST complete, to alert staff of their departure.
Please complete the below steps to notify us that you or your student has left:
  • Log into
  • ​​-Click on Personal Information>>My Info>>Select Fall 2020 for the term
  • ​-Answer the following question "Current Fall 2020 Residents Only: I have moved out of my fall 2020 housing assignment." as "Yes" and click "save"


How to apply for a checkout extension:

Checkout extnsions are now open in MyHousing for students. Below are the step by step instructions that will be needed to be completed: 

  • Click on “Housing Applications & Forms” from the top menu bar
  • Select “Checkout Extension Application - Fall Semester”
  • Answer the following questions:
  1. The date I am requesting to checkout of my room for fall 2020 is:
  2. The reason I am requesting a checkout extension is:
  3. The rationale for my checkout extension request is:
