Graduate Resident Director

Reporting to the respective Area Coordinator, the Graduate Resident Director (RD) is a 10-month graduate student position serving as a key paraprofessional member of the Residential Learning and University Housing (RLUH) staff. The Graduate Resident Director leads an in-hall staff of an Assistant Resident Director (ARD) and Resident Assistants (RAs) in efforts to develop a safe, supportive and inclusive community, promote learning outside the classroom through delivery of co-curricular programs within the residential community, and coordinate the overall operation of the hall. RDs provide development, coaching and leadership in promoting Citizenship and civic engagement, inspiring students to engage in Lifelong learning opportunities. Developing Inclusive communities, helping students Make-meaning of their college experience, and creating a sense of Belonging. These values are the foundation of RLUH’s Residential Curriculum, which is committed to the success of all residential students CLIMBing to meet their goals.

 

Graduate Coordinator, Leadership & Engagement

Reporting to the Associate Director for Living, Learning & Leadership Initiatives within the Department of Residential Learning & University Housing, the Graduate Coordinator for Leadership & Engagement is a 12-month graduate student position serving as an integral paraprofessional member of the Residential Learning and University Housing staff.  The Graduate Coordinator will work closely with undergraduate students and staff to oversee on-campus and in-hall Leadership opportunities, the experience for students residing in themed and academic Living Learning Communities, and assess and implement strategies for overall student engagement in the residential experience.

Rowan University is looking to revamp our Residence Hall Association (RHA), National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) and Living Learning Communities (LLCs). We are looking for candidates who are especially interested in promoting student leadership opportunities on a residential campus, who will creatively explore ways in which we can reach our students, define and expand what it means to be a leader, and promote professional development opportunities. Additionally, Rowan University has 15 LLCs and is opening a new 16th LLC, the Business LLC, in the Fall of 2022. We are interested in candidates who have experience with themed or academic housing communities to assist us in further developing, marketing and energizing our LLC experience.

Graduate Coordinator for Marketing

Reporting to the Assistant Director for Assignments, the Graduate Coordinator for Marketing is a 12-month graduate student position serving as a key paraprofessional member of the Residential Learning and University Housing staff. The Graduate Coordinator works closely with professional staff across the department to support marketing initiatives as well as maintain all departmental social media accounts and ensure website accuracy.

We are looking for candidates who will bring a robust skill set and interest in marketing in various forms, whether that be social media management, developing engaging and creative flyers, brochures, social media posts, website design, etc. We are excited to welcome this individual to our team to help us reach students, family, and other key stakeholders to learn more about our office, the work that we do, and the fantastic opportunity of living and learning on the Rowan University campus.
