Resident Directors 

The Resident Director (RD) is a 10-month graduate student staff position who supervises a staff of up to 14 Resident Assistants and 1 Assistant Resident Director and oversees the communities in their assigned areas. The RD focuses on the growth and development of students and can provide guidance on adjusting to college, academic resources, and assisting in matters that the RA cannot resolve. The RDs receive more comprehensive training than the RAs and are great resources. The RD should be a resident's first contact for situations such as: concerns related to the building's staff, facility upkeep, personal matters of a sensitive nature, and conduct related questions. RDs conduct office hours in their office for 18 hours a week and are available outside of their office hours by appointment.

Housing Assignments

The Housing Assignments Graduate Coordinators (GCs) are 12-month graduate student positions serving as a key paraprofessional members of the Residential Learning and University Housing staff within the Central Office. The Graduate Coordinators of Housing Assignments work closely with professional staff within the department to support the department’s housing assignments processes and to maintain accurate and complete databases and rosters of all bed space assignments, as well as room changes. There are two (2) Housing Assignments GCs and each of them work 25 hours a week in the Central Office in Savitz Hall.

Housing Systems & Logistics

The Graduate Coordinator for Housing Systems and Logistics is a 12-month graduate student position serving as a key paraprofessional member of the Residential Learning and University Housing staff within the Central Office. The Graduate Coordinator works closely with professional staff within the department to support a wide range of housing systems and logistics and residential maintenance functions, including leading a team of student project crew workers throughout the academic year and summer months. The Housing Systems and Logistics GC work 25 hours a week in the Central Office in Savitz Hall.
