Residence Hall Association

The Residence Hall Association (RHA), is an organization formed to represent the interests of resident students and work to improve the quality of life on campus.

The RHA serves as the umbrella organization for the Hall Councils. The executive board of the RHA is responsible for managing the budget, organizing elections, developing major campus events for residents, and representing the resident students of Rowan University to the campus administration and to regional and national organizations.

The Rowan University RHA is affiliated with the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Inc. (NACURH, Inc.) and is host to the Holly Bush Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary, a student organization recognizing the contributions of the top 1% of student leaders in the campus residential community.

Hall Councils

Each residence hall and apartment community has its own hall council comprised of residents from that community. Typically each council elects its own officers and each floor sends a representative.

Hall Councils are responsible for representing the residents of the building, advocating for improvements and developing programs and events for the community. Hall Councils oversee a budget that varies based on the size of the building/community.
