Living Learning Communities

Live here. Learn here. Thrive here.

Living-Learning Communities, commonly referred to as LLCs, are communities developed to enhance students’ residential experience. Named a high impact practice by the Association of American Colleges & Universities, LLCs transcend the learning experience in the classroom to a learning experience in the residential community. They are created to bring students together with shared interests, passions and academic goals with a group of students who share your living space.

Living in an LLC will enable you to study together, share textbooks, join similar clubs and organizations, and share your passions and dreams all while benefiting from not just the social connection but also a direct connection with a campus liaison, whether that be a professor, staff member, or specifically selected Resident Assistant!

Rowan University has 15 Living-Learning Communities open to incoming first year students. While some require you to be a part of a program or a major, many are open to anyone who may share an interest or just want to try something new and different.
