Rowan Opportunity Program

Rowan Opportunity Program

The Rowan Opportunity Program is designed to help more students access a free education at Rowan University. Starting in the fall 2021 semester, first-time, incoming freshmen students whose families have an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $45,000 or less may now have access to free tuition and fees (see full eligibility criteria below).

Once accepted into this program, students will remain eligible to receive free tuition/fees through graduation, even if household income changes. Since this is a need-based award, there is no minimum GPA requirement for eligibility, though students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid purposes to remain eligible.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must file a FAFSA and meet all state grant deadlines.
  • Must be a New Jersey resident.
  • Family AGI (as reported on the FAFSA or NJ Alternative Application) must be $45,000 or less.
  • Must be an incoming, first-year freshman in the fall 2021 semester.
  • There is no application required to be considered for this program.

Additional Terms and Conditions

  • Full-time enrollment is required.
  • Funding available for fall and spring semesters only.
  • Will be awarded to cover tuition and fees after all federal grants, state aid, and institutional funding, including the COVID Vaccine incentive, has been applied. This award cannot be used to create a refund/credit balance.
  • There is no GPA requirement, but students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress to receive the award.
