The Office of Student Equity & Compliance is located in Hawthorn Hall on the third floor. The office plays a significant role in providing students support and protection under Title VI and Title IX.
Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation
The University addresses allegations of discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin under the Policy Prohibiting Discrimination in the Workplace and Educational Environment. To report an incident of discrimination CLICK HERE.
Title IX
Allegations of sexual misconduct that fall within the U.S. Department of Education’s Title IX regulations are addressed under the Title IX Sexual Harassment/Sexual Assault policy for both students and employees. To report a Title IX incident, CLICK HERE.
Student Sexual Misconduct and Harassment
For allegations that do not fall within the definition or jurisdiction of the Title IX regulations, a second policy is used by the University, the Student Sexual Misconduct and Harassment Policy. This policy, for example, applies to allegations of sexual exploitation; or sexual harassment/sexual assault that does not occur on campus or in an education program or activity.
