Welcome Graduates!

Preparations for Commencement 2026 are in full swing as we get ready to celebrate our graduates and welcome their families and friends to Rowan University. We’re proud to continue hosting most of our ceremonies at Richard Wackar Stadium to accommodate our growing graduating classes and their guests.

With record-breaking enrollment fueling Rowan’s momentum into its second century, our stadium venue allows us to celebrate more graduates and guests than ever before while honoring the traditions that make Commencement Week so meaningful.

2026 Commencement Ceremony Schedule

Rowan University Commencement 2026 – At A Glance 

Friday, May 8 — Doctoral Recognition Ceremony

• Location: Esbjornson Gymnasium

• Time: 3:00 p.m.

• For Ed.D. & Ph.D. graduates; reception follows

Saturday, May 9 — University Commencement Ceremony & Celebration

• Location: Wackar Stadium

• Time: 10:00 a.m.

• Graduates from all degree levels and all colleges and schools

• Speakers, conferral of degrees, music, photo ops

• Refreshments, beer & wine garden (21+), and cash gift prizes (must be present to win)

• Extreme weather date: Sunday, May 10 – 3:00 p.m.

Monday, May 11 – Friday, May 15 — College & School Ceremonies

• Location: Wackar Stadium & Esbjornson Gymnasium

• Time: Various times

• Each graduate recognized on stage

• Snacks, photo ops, and celebration after
