What is the Recharge and Connect Retreat?
Established in 2019, the Recharge and Connect Retreat is an event hosted by The Center for Well-Being with the goal of helping students escape to nature and reset, reflect, recharge, and connect before the final weeks of the semester. As we know, nature and social engagement are extremely restorative for well-being and so the retreat is about connecting with each other and unplugging from our devices. All those involved with the retreat are encouraged to limit/disengage from electronic devices during the weekend. Students are transported together to and from the camp from Rowan, and students are expected to stay the entirety of the weekend. While at the camp, all food/meals and accommodations are provided, and students sleep in cabins equipped with bunk beds. The retreat includes a number of activities planned throughout the weekend that may include archery, tomahawk throwing, hiking, rock climbing, meditation, and more. The cost is $25 per student.
