Mini Grants
The Profs for a Purpose: Suicide Prevention Walk Mini Grants were established in 2024. The Center for Well-Being is proud to share that 100% of all proceeds from the walk support mental health and suicide prevention research, programs, training, and well-being programming for students, faculty, staff, and our community members.
These mini-grants provide funding sources to individuals or groups who are conducting research, presentations, programming, and more with a focus on suicide prevention and mental health.

Mini Grant Application for 2025-2026
Thank you for your interest in the 2025/2026 Profs for a Purpose Mini Grant. Mini grants are funded by donations received during the Profs for a Purpose Suicide Prevention Walk. Students, Faculty, Staff, and other Rowan community members are all eligible to apply for a grant for up to $700. Applications should focus on projects that support efforts to address mental health, mental illness, or suicide prevention through one or more of the following means:
- Education
- Resources
- Belonging/Connection
- Research
This year, we are awarding up to $4,000 in grants. The grant however, must be dispersed via a DCA or we must be able to purchase items for you through Rowan-approved vendors such as Amazon. Mini grants will be awarded for projects that will take place within the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 year. If awarded the grant, the expectation is that recipients send a 3-5 slide deck presentation at the conclusion of your project, event, or other, that includes your results and the impact it had on the community/group in which you were working.
Application Deadline is October 31st, 2025 by 4pm
Awards will be announced on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Rowan's "State of Mind" Event, a program focused on Mental and Emotional Well-Being
