Annual Profs for a Purpose: Suicide Prevention Walk
The Annual Profs for a Purpose: Suicide Prevention Walk (formerly the Out of the Darkness Walk) brings the Rowan community and neighboring communities together for a very special event, focusing on mental health and suicide prevention while supporting individuals and families who have lost a loved one to suicide.
Proceeds from the annual event support the Center for Well-Being and well-being initiatives across Rowan's multiple campuses as well as within the communities. These initiatives support the mental health and well-being of Rowan's students, faculty, staff, and community members, focusing on research, well-being-related programming, and training.
Each year, the top five fundraising teams will have mini-grants created in their winning team name. Mini grants fund the incredible mental health and suicide prevention research, well-being programming, training, and well-being initiatives at Rowan and within the neighboring communities.
