With COVID-19 still mostly distant from Rowan's campuses but becoming a threat, on March 9, 2020, Gov. Murphy declares a public health emergency. The University announces Spring Break will be extended to two weeks to allow faculty to shift to virtual instruction.
Many students head home—some for good. Still without any reported COVID cases on our campuses, the University begins to navigate and respond to the first pandemic in our history.
Thanks to video calls, social media and the miracles of modern technology, a scattered Rowan community finds new ways to stay together and keep progressing.
