From 1961, part of the story of "Town Women In Glassboro" students boarding in Glassboro and Pitman homes because the campus lacked enough dorms. It reported, "Each morning during the school year girls can be seen approaching the campus from all avenues. By 1963, 660 "TWIG" coeds lived in college-approved local housing.
