Glassboro State Teachers College was the destination for students and thousands of South Jerseyans who took advantage of its education, cultural and professional programs. By 1957, Savitz Library (Bole Hall) Campus School (Bozorth Hall), Linden Hall, Memorial Hall and a new men's dorm, Mullica Hall (Hawthorn Hall), had risen on the south side of campus. Across Mullica Hill Road, farmland remained, but not for much longer.
