Alumni Association events like the Second Annual Spring Concert often featured performances by faculty and students. In 1950, the alumni group sponsored a special gift to its alma mater: carillonic bells installed in the Bunce Hall cupola. The chimes have rung for more than 70 years, sometimes played as live music and with upgrades that include a digitally programmed playlist.
Also in 1950, the Class of 1925 celebrated a milestone anniversary. Dorothy Epting Albrecht, vice president of the event committee, reported that 176 people attended and 43 were actively teaching.
