Log on to www.booker.senate.gov Under the 'Services" tab you will find the Internship application. The deadline is April 5, 2019.

Please explain the work that will be required of the intern:
Your position entails important responsibilities. You will be expected to arrive in a
professional dress and perform the task that you are assigned. You will be responsible
for a broad range of constituent services, as well as assisting staff with their official
duties. Your assignment will include, but not be limited to: • Communicating with
the public via incoming phone calls, constituent e-mails, and constituent office visits •
Processing incoming mail on a daily basis and inputting constituent opinions and
correspondence into the office database • Assisting full-time staff with constituent
casework and community outreach around southern New Jersey • Accompanying
full-time staff to local community events on Senator Booker’s behalf • Participating
in education training meetings hosted by full-time staff
Will there be opportunities for the intern to observe:
Strategy sessions? Legislative sessions? Committee Hearings?
Is the intern expected to work evenings and weekends? ✔ Yes No

Occasionally we may have an event after office hours that we may ask interns to attend
with staff.
