Please send resume and letter of interest to slevine@arcnj.org. A writing sample is appreciated but not required. Materials must be sent in by May 15, 2022.

 

Intern work areas:           Clerical                Research  X         Errands                Organizing  X

 

Please explain the work that will be required of the intern:  Research policy/legislation implemented in other states to gain insights of best practices. Update legislative spreadsheet to reflect current roster of representatives. Organize/update public policy page of the web site. Create short informative videos about the legislative process. Review current position papers and take actions as needed.

 

Will there be opportunities for the intern to observe: In the summer, it is unlikely that the Legislature will hold sessions or hearings. If they do, the intern is welcome to visit the State House with representatives from The Arc of NJ.

Staff are working in the office. Masks are not required, but anyone who would like to wear one should feel free to do so.

Applicants should have an interest in public policy, grassroots advocacy and learning more about The Arc of NJ’s work on behalf of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
