Please explain the work that will be required of the intern:

Interns will be required to build out the organizational structure of the Somerset County Democrats and the various county campaigns. Interns will be involved with volunteer recruitment and management, will become proficient in using organizing tools such as VAN, will conduct donor and opposition research on behalf of the campaigns, maintain County and candidates social media accounts and databases, assist in all the stages of event planning, and help with drafting of press releases. Interns will be working with the Somerset Democrats as we look to take a majority control of the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders for the first time in decades. Interns will play a crucial role in this endeavor.

Will there be opportunities for the intern to observe:

Is the intern expected to work evenings and weekends?        ✔ Yes       No

Evenings, will be used to help staff candidate events and conduct call time. On the weekends interns will help with organizing canvass events
