Required Hours/Week: 10-20 hours a week

 

What are your office’s requirements regarding COVID-19 vaccination status, mask wearing, etc.?

 

The office is mask optional and vaccine optional. We strongly advise those that have tested positive for COVID-19 and/or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to not come into the office.

 

Is there some type of salary or stipend?: No, but students can receive college credit

Please explain the work that will be required of the intern:

 

The Denise Gonzalez for NJ State Assembly campaign is looking for hard-working interns to be part of our goal-oriented campaign. Interns MUST be a Junior or Senior in High school or attending College. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Making Phone Calls
  • Canvassing/ Knocking Doors in Neighborhoods within the District
  • Assist Campaign Staff with various projects
  • Research and data analysis

 

The ideal Intern is:

  • Has a willingness to learn
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about politics and government
  • Organized individual
  • Able to work 10-20 hours a week

 

 

Will there be opportunities for the intern to observe:

 

Internal strategy sessions?            Legislative sessions?            Committee hearings? 

 

Is the intern expected to work evenings and weekends?  If so, please explain. Yes, we hold Super Saturdays every Saturday leading up to election day to get out the vote.
