Is there some type of salary or stipend?  No, but able to work with intern to ensure college credits

Please explain the work that will be required of the intern:  We are looking for a public policy intern for the summer to assist with legislative research, committee hearing memo drafts, and reviewing proposed legislative agenda. The intern will receive a comprehensive training session to understand the ins and outs for the New Jersey legislative process.

 

Will there be opportunities for the intern to observe:

Is the intern expected to work evenings and weekends?  If so, please explain.  No

 

What are your current COVID-19 workplace requirements?  (We recognize that these can change at any moment.)

 

Currently, all office employees are required to wear a face covering within the office. We do not have testing requirements. If an intern experiences cold symptoms, they are required to report it to the internship coordinator and plan to get tested. While awaiting the results, they will have the ability to work remotely.

We suggest that all applicants research the Assemblyman’s legislative record and history. We are looking for proactive applicants that are passionate about making a difference and will bring new ideas to the table.
