The Provost is the Chief Academic Officer of the University. Reporting directly to the President, the Provost's principal responsibilities include academic and financial oversight of all undergraduate and graduate academic programs and the hiring of faculty, librarians, professional staff and other personnel in collaboration with the Deans of the Colleges of Business, Communication and Creative Arts, Education, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Performing Arts, Science and Mathematics, School of Health Professions, the School of Earth and Environment and the Honors College. The Associate Provost for Rowan University Libraries also reports to the Provost.
The Provost represents the President, when so designated, with internal and external constituents. Within the University, he chairs the Provost Senior Staff and the Deans Council, and is a member of the President's Executive Cabinet.

Assessment
Center for Academic Innovation
Roberta Harvey, Vice President for Academic Affairs, works closely with the Provost and the leadership of other divisions to coordinate and support institutional priorities. She is responsible for institutional accreditation, curriculum development and approval, learning outcomes assessment, academic policies, and documentation of strategic effectiveness and achievement of mission. She serves as the Middle States Commission on Higher Education Accreditation Liaison Officer for Rowan University and represents the University on two subcommittees of the New Jersey Presidents' Council, the Academic Issues Committee and the Transfer Committee.

The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs works closely with the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Provost/Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs on matters related to faculty hiring, re-contracting and tenure, promotion, sabbatical leave, professional development, and adjusted load program. The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs oversees the Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and also serves as point of contact of the Office of the Provost in the University Senate T&R, Promotion, and Sabbatical Leave Committees.

The Vice President for Student Affairs provides leadership for student-oriented academic policies and processes and for the Division of Student Success. This includes administration of the Academic Integrity, Academic Standing, Grade Dispute, and GPA Forgiveness Processes. The Division of Student Success provides numerous services to support all students in achieving their academic, career, and personal goals. With a focus on student holistic well-being, dedicated professionals provide expert support and intervention for students through University Advising & Student Support Services, the Academic Success Center, the Office of Career Advancement, and the Office of Pre-Health Programs.

The Vice President for Global Affairs and Dean of the School of Professional Studies provides leadership for Rowan’s international education and global reach by advancing the institution’s strategic priorities and forming innovative partnerships. He provides leadership and strategic direction for the School of Professional Studies, lead the development and delivery of professional and continuing education programs to meet market demand and industry needs, oversee non-research graduate programs, collaborate with academic departments to develop innovative online learning experiences and provides strategic direction for all hybrid and face-to-face Master’s programs administered by Rowan University.

The Associate Provost for Academic Strategic Initiatives leads efforts to generate and execute strategic academic initiatives that serve responsive to new market trends in higher education while maintaining the highest standards of academic quality, rigor, and student satisfaction. With a forward-looking perspective to capture new academic opportunities and to adjust to changing environments, the Associate Provost for Academic Strategic Initiatives deeply engages with faculty and leadership within the University and among its affiliated partner organizations to create synergies and expand upon strategies for entrepreneurial academic program development, growth, and sustainability.

The Associate Provost for Wellness and Inclusivity works closely with the Provost and divisions within Academic and Student Affairs across the University to bridge and provide strategic vision and planning to execute and bolster the institution's commitment to the holistic health, well-being, and success of students, faculty, and staff. She oversees the institution's Wellness Strategic Plan initiative and helps affirm and improve the sense of belonging and inclusion of students, faculty, and staff within and outside the academic environment.

The Director of Assessment coordinates assessment activities for the university, including the assessment of student learning and institutional effectiveness. He works with faculty and staff to obtain meaningful data that will inform decisions that affect teaching, curriculum, and administrative actions. This work promotes institutional improvement and supports the university’s regional and discipline-specific accreditations. He is also the system administrator for the university’s assessment management system.

Mrs. Conte serves as the Fiscal Affairs Manager for the Provost/Sr. Vice President for Academic Affairs. Her duties include managing the academic affairs budgets, reviewing and processing all faculty hires and processing all new faculty hiring paperwork. She also manages the Banner Faculty Load and Compensation system to process all adjunct faculty pay. She handles the advertising for the academic affairs division and prepares faculty load analysis data reports and other statistical reports.

Ms. Sanders serves as managing administrative assistant to the Provost/Sr. Vice President. Her duties include support for the Academic Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees, coordinating reports from the Division of Academic Affairs, maintaining the Provost/Sr. Vice President's calendar and assisting the Provost/Sr. Vice President at meetings and University functions. Ms. Sanders oversees the operations of the Provost office and provides the necessary support to ensure implementation and/or completion of projects assigned to the office. In addition, she works cooperatively with University faculty, administration and staff to accomplish goals and tasks of the University.

Mrs. Lee serves as the Faculty Affairs Coordinator for Academic Affairs. Her duties include Faculty Load and Compensation (FLAC), Faculty Pay, Faculty & Non-faculty position numbers, Division of Academic Affairs Budgets, Page Up Administrator for the Division of Academic Affairs, Offer letters & Term Sheets and Banner Approvals including: Special Assignment payments, Summer Non-Teaching Contracts, Part-Time Hourly forms, Reclassification requests and Reassign Time.

Ms. Gross serves as Adjunct Hiring & Data Specialist for the Office of the Provost. She supports all colleges in the university in hiring adjunct faculty, managing and monitoring the approval process, and communicating with departments and new hires to ensure a smooth, timely onboarding process. In addition, Ms. Gross updates faculty records in Banner and reports on Faculty Load and Compensation (FLAC) as needed
